About Us

GPUStyle was founded in 1999, by the great Galahad Spiegel. Spiegel started the
with the idea of having a place where people could buy the latest and greatest GPUs
of the day. He did this because he loved all the graphical early videogames he could
play on computers such as Doom, Duke Nukem, and Redneck Rampage. Back then
those games were state of the art and considered to have amazing graphics. Naturally
good graphics came at the price of needing the latest and greatest graphics processing
units to get the game to look the best as possible and run it at a frame rate that wasn't
unbearebly choppy. The problem was there was no easy way to obtain such units,
excpecially not all in one place. It was because of this need for a easy way to obtain
the latest and greatest GPUs and computer processers that Mr. Spiegel created the
company and website of GPUStyle. The style part of the name came from not just
the need to have a flashy name but also refering to how having style is to look good,
games looking good or having "style" is what Galahad Spiegel was all about...
